What is When I Grow Up, I’ll Be…?
When I Grow Up, I Will… is an award-winning educational program dedicated to career guidance and counseling for young people.
The program started in 2016 and has since reached high schools across Serbia. It is aligned with the Regulation on Standards of Career Guidance and Counseling Services, as well as educational development strategies in Serbia, Europe, and worldwide, addressing challenges identified in the National Youth Strategy.
At its core, the program provides a structured 9-month support system for young people aged 15 to 19 through carefully designed activities divided into four main components:
Informing high school students
Promotional 1-hour online workshops on resume writing and the Industry 4.0 sector; public call and participant selection.
Enhancing Soft Skills and Career Guidance
Online courses on teamwork and assertive communication; a 4-day summer camp dedicated to exploring the Industry 4.0 concept, held at the Radulovački Ecological Center in Sremski Karlovci.
Career Counseling
An intensive 3-month online mentoring program, during which mentors from various industries help participants make informed decisions.
Entering the job market and gaining first work experience
Finding job shadowing opportunities at the final conference and gaining first work experience.

I applied to KPB expecting to meet new people, but in the end, I gained so much more than that. The mentoring program helped me completely transform my way of life. I’ve always been full of ideas, but I used to be extremely lazy and not persistent in the projects and activities I pursued. During the program, I learned to understand myself, started changing my habits, and progressed both personally and professionally.
The people running the program are true professionals; nothing is left to chance, and the development of intellect is intensely encouraged in line with the times we live in—and the world we will live in for the coming decades.
